The 12th Imam Mahdi

I have written many times now of the coming threat of Iran. We have heard for years about this and have not seen anything happen, so I think many of us have not been too concerned. It is time to pay close attention though, as Iran is much more dangerous than Iraq or Afghanistan. They present a huge threat to peace in the Middle East, and even a threat to mainland America.

They are Islamic radicals, religious zealots, and that is why they have become so dangerous. They will stop at nothing to bring about the prophecies of the prophet Muhammad. Islam has been waiting for the return of the last messiah, the 12th Imam Mahdi. But before he returns, certain conditions and circumstances have to be in place, and this IS that time. Many of the conditions needed for the return of the messiah are already satisfied, and the remaining conditions will be brought about by the Iranian and Yemen regimes. There were many things prophesied to happen before Imam's return, such as an uprising in Egypt and the ruler killed. Egypt had an uprising and the leader was ousted last year. There would be a nation in the East rising up with a strong army that would fulfill the prophecies to bring about this messiah, and right now Iran is building this army believing they are the chosen nation and this is the chosen time. There is a prophecy of a leader in Saudi Arabia named Abdullah, and ironically, their current "sultan" is the first ruler named Abdullah in 100 years. There are other prophecies related to other countries such as Yemen. But the most important prophecy to be fulfilled before their Messiah's return is the conquering of Israel and the destruction of Jerusalem. This is the primary goal of the current Iranian regime. They believe by wiping out Israel, they will soon see the coming messiah. This is not a power play, not a world domination game, these are religious zealots determined to see the 12th Imam Mahdi come in the very near future.

Israel knows this, and they will not in any circumstances allow Iran to get nuclear weapons. Everything has been done to avoid an all out attack on Iran, from killing nuclear scientists, to sanctions that are crippling the Iranian economy, to viruses that caused the centrifuges at the nuclear plant to spin out of control - buying the world about another year of time. But time has run out. Israel believes they only have a couple of months left to take out the Iranian nuclear plant before they have enough Uranium to produce a nuclear weapon. Israel is in a very bad place. The US is very strongly urging them not to strike Iran, but if they wait too long, they risk an even more dangerous situation - Iran with nukes. Another problem they face is they don't have the weapons needed to destroy the nuclear plant buried far beneath the earth's surface. The US recently developed the most destructive bunker buster ever built, over 30k tons I believe, which they are not sure it is even enough to get to the underground nuke facility. If Israel attacks, I believe we will see the US cooperate.

Meanwhile, Iran is doing their best to buy time. They allowed inspectors to come in and view their nuclear facilities this last week, all but the nuclear test site of course. They scored big when Russia and China vetoed U.N. sanctions. And they also instructed leaders to encourage more talks to mislead and buy time. They are building their armies and navies, they are mass producing weapons, they are testing new long-range technology. Their longest known missile can travel 1500 miles, but it is now believed they are working on a missle that will deliver payload at a much greater distance - which presents a great danger to much of Europe. And putting these weapons on their ships will mean extremely dangerous situations for the U.S.

Iran's supreme leader said this earlier this week: “In light of the realization of the divine promise by almighty God, the Zionists and the Great Satan (America) will soon be defeated....Allah’s promises will be delivered and Islam will be victorious.”

Despite whether Iran manages to fulfill any prophecy, this year is likely to bring bad news. There is nothing good coming out of this. We may stop Iran from getting nukes one way or another, but they certainly can hurt the world economy by blocking the straight, where 60% of the world's supply of oil travels through. The question is, do we want to deal with an Iran that has nuclear weapons, or do we want to deal with an Iran that has not developed nuclear weapons? And just how close is Russian and China to Iran anyway?
